Run for Richmond

Run/Walk Club on Richmond's North Side! Meets on Monday evenings at 5:15 at Yaupon Place Park. Meetups are dedicated to Richmond area non-profits and members donate as they are able.

  • This month Run for Richmond is supporting Shalom Farms, a nonprofit farm and food justice organization working for an equitable food system in Richmond, VA.

Each month we choose a Richmond-area non-profit to support. Participants can choose an amount that works for them and dedicate their runs by donating each time they come out and get their run in! Fun fact – Yaupon Place is located right next to their fields so you can see them in action!

    See you Monday!

  • We are changing the day of our meetups from Tuesday evenings to Monday evenings to better accommodate members. Still 5:15, still Yaupon Place!

As a reminder, for the month of September we are supporting the League of Women Voters. You can donate to them here.

  • This month Run for Richmond is supporting the League of Women Voters (Virginia Chapter). Each run/walk will be dedicated to this important organization that supports women in so many ways. Thanks for contributing, and see you Tuesday at Yaupon Place!

  • August was a great month for running in Richmond! The weather was perfect (what?!) and the people were even more so. This month, our very first month of Run for Richmond, we had a total of 12 adults and 6 kids come out to walk and run at Yaupon Place. We dedicated this month to Safe Harbor; each month we plan to select a non-profit in the Richmond area to support, so check back soon for updates on our plans for September! See you Tuesday at 5:15!

Serious exercise is about to happen
Pretty good for an after photo!

And look, we even made a flyer!

  • Our first two run club meet ups were great! Our mission: Each month we plan to choose a local non-profit to dedicate our runs/walks to and donate whatever amount we can to their cause. This month we are supporting Safe Harbor, who provides support and recovery assistance for victims of domestic violence.

Thanks friends, see you on Tuesday!
